Sea of Hearts

Date of Memory: April, 2007 | Submitted By: Robert & Kim

On Easter Sunday, after a particularly grief stricken day Robert received an sms from one of his clients.

The message simply asked for us to “go to our letterbox”
When we opened the front door we were overwhelmed by a “Sea of Hearts”. The children at his clients church had made hundreds of multi-coloured cardboard hearts on wooden skewers and he had brought them and placed them all over our front yard and foot path. Each of these hearts were personalised and simply lifted us out of the “dark place” we had been all afternoon.
We can not fully embrace in words the feeling we had at that moment.

The were so beautiful that we asked the neighbour's children to collect them up before it rained and put them around the school for Morgan's funeral.
